This Course Is a Work in Progress

We Currently teak Permaponics on our PDC but are working to expand it to a stand alone course for commercial scale applications.

Permaponics Application Course (PAC)

Welcome to the Rak Tamachat

Permaponics Application Course (PAC)

The Rak Tamachat Education Team has worked hard to design our Permaponics Applications Course (PAC) to bring together all the

Key Disciplines

of Permaponincs under one “Amazing  Hands on Course“.

We are ready to teach you the skills to create an organic food production system which is adaptable to both small and large scale applications.

The wealth of knowledge that Rak Tamachat gives you will ENABLE you to start on a new path with Permaponics, and the rest of your HEALTHY LIVING AND LIFE!

What is Permaponics

Permaponics is based upon the principle of using “Living Soil as the growing medium”  (as opposed to synthetic materials)  in an automated and controlled manner with Integrated Nutrient Cycling.

The source of the water for the Permaponic systems is from a “Flow-through Automatic Watering System (FAWS)” which pumps water from a pond in a broad scale system and or a fish tank in an urban setting.

Permaponics creates a “Total Integrated Nutrient Cycling System (TINCS)”. This means that all of the nutrients needed to provide for a healthy Soil Food Web and Healthy Plants are designed for and integrated into a closed loop nutrient cycling system , which assures we are eating “Certified Organic Nutritionally Dense Food“.

Permaponics utilizes the “Soil Food Web” to assure that our food production system has all of the nutrients needed by not only the plants but for the humans that consume them as well.

Permaponics is based upon the belief that in order to assure that all the required nutrients are present in our foods we have to utilize the “Soil Food Web” to assure that the nutrients are bio available in an organic and water soluble manor.

Permaponics acknowledges that a hydroponic system could be built that would provide the required nutrients, but that the nutrients are made available in a synthetic manner and thus not organic, ie: they do not use “Living Soil“.

Also there may be trace / micro nutrients that the hydroponic system would not provide for.

Permaponics believe the only way to assure that the “Total Integrated Nutrient Cycle” is assured is to use “Living Soil” and the “Soil Food Web” to provide the nutrients to our plants in an organic manner.

Permaponics Mini Systems Build

The Rak Tamachat Permaponics Applications course is unique in the ability for our students to build their own “Turn Key” Permaponics fully “Active” Mini System.

The Mini System has all the components of the large scale commercial unit. The students will learn through hands on guided experiential education to build their own Permaponics system.

The Mini System will comprise of the following components:

  1.  Grow Beds (Soil wiking systems)
  2. Fish Reservoir
  3. Pumping Systems (FAWS)
  4. Nutrient Cycling Systems (TINCS)
  5. Automated Control Panel (Electrical Wiring)
  6.  Plant Selection, Grow-out, Harvesting

Permaponics Applications

Permaponics lends itself to a myriad of applications. The wide scope of it’s use to both grow “Nutritional Dense Food” and also provide for recreation (Natural Swimming Pools) and beauty (Aesthetic landscaping).

Permaponics allows a family to grow their own foods in the comfort of their homes be it in a urban or rural setting. The systems provides the ability to grow fish, vegetables and larger plants like bell peppers.

The secret of the success of Permaponics is based on its use of “Living Soil” and “Total Integrated Nutrient Cycling Systems (TINCS), as aposed to only using fish nutrient (Aquaponics) or synthetic N.P.K. fertilizer (Hydroponics).

This is the reason that the Permaponics can be “Certified Organic” we use Living Soils and create our nutrients with nutrient cycling systems, such as Vermiculture, Composting, Composting Teas, and Biochars.

Permaponic enthusiast believe that to have a Nutrient Dense Food the nutrient must be present in the growing media. We believe that the only way to assure the complete Nutrient Profile including the Macro and Micro Nutrients to to use the “Soil Food Web” and “Nutrient Cycling Systems” based on the “Five Kingdoms” of nature and how nature moves cycles nutrients.

If you only put N.P.K. in your systems, then you are only eating N.P.K.!

If you cancel less than the two weeks we will allow you to use the deposit for any future course less the 20% pay pal charges. Note 2: The outstanding cost of the course less the deposit made must be paid on the first day of the course. Anyone unable to pay for the course at the farm on the first day will not be able to take part in the course.  We accept payments for the balance of your course cost in cash (Thai Baht).  As a second method of payment, you can pay your balance with PayPal.  However, please note that if you choose to pay the balance by PayPal you will have an additional cost of 5% to cover the transaction fee, which is an additional cost applied by PayPal which Rak Tamachat has no control over.  We recommend that you come to the farm with cash (Thai Baht). The easiest way is to exchange money is at the Airport. Please note that the closest ATM to the farm is in Sikhiu, a 30 minute ride with a motorbike taxi. If you arrive at the farm without money (Thai Baht) and cannot make a PayPal transfer you will have to pay for the return ride to Sikhiu which is 300 Baht each way. Also note that some banks will not allow you to withdrawal large amounts on your ATM card. Honestly, save a little money and come to the farm with cash (Thai Baht) which you exchange at the airport.  It is truly the easiest way to pay.
